Je kijkt toch elke dag weer tegen die keukerol aan, dan maar beter er iets gezelligs van maken!

Pimpelmees

Tititu de kleine mees, ik heb het gouden boekje tot in den treure voorgelezen. Ik weet nu niet meer zeker of het over een koolmees of een pimpelmees ging, maar wat zijn ze schattig hè? Dit is in elk geval de pimpelmees, te herkennen aan het opvallende lichtere blauw dan de koolmees die een donkerblauwe jas heeft en ietsje groter is dan de pimpelmees.

Bouwpakket van hout

De houten artikelen van Wildlife garden worden in China gemaakt door echte vakmensen. Zo ook deze keukerolhouder. Hij is verpakt in een plat pakket en je zet het makkelijk zelf in elkaar. Er zijn twee 'stokken'. Dacht zelf dat ik de lange stok nodig had voor de standaard keukenrol van de supermarkt, maar deze past al op de korte stok. Het vogeltje plaats je er bovenop. Je zekert hem met het houten pinnetje. Onder de ronde schijf waar de keukenrol op rust, zitten 3 anti-slip dopjes. Zo ben je er ook verzekerd van dat de houder niet in het vocht staat. Gaat 'ie nog langer mee!

Ontworpen in Zweden, met de hand gesneden in China

In Mantsjoerije zijn de winters koud en donker. De boerenbevolking stortte zich in de winters binnenshuis op het houtsnijden. Zo konden ze een beetje bijverdienen met het maken van lepels, borden et cetera. Dit ambacht is nog steeds springlevend. In Zweden worden de ontwerpen gemaakt in China worden ze met trots gesneden uit lindehout en geverfd met milieuvriendelijke verf.
