Ook de gepassioneerde Italiaan Domenico Calabria waagde de overstap. In 1927 besloot hij het authentieke zuiden van Italië achter zich te laten en te emigreren naar Australië. Hier kreeg hij in 1929 gezelschap van zijn zoon en in 1934 voegde zijn vrouw Elisabetta zich bij. Na flink wat sparen konden zij in 1945 het schitterende wijnhuis Calabria Family Wines & Sons oprichten, gelegen in Nieuw Zuid-Wales op ongeveer 500 kilometer landinwaarts vanuit Sydney.De wijnen van Kings of Prohibition
Na de oprichting van het wijnhuis duurde het niet lang of de twee generatie werd opgenomen in het wijnhuis. In 1966 was het de beurt aan de volgende generatie: Bill, de zoon van Francesco. Hij had het wijn maken in zijn vingers en samen met zijn broer Tony wisten zij het wijnhuis stukje bij beetje uit te breiden. Langzamerhand werden de wijnen van Calabria Family Wines een graag geziene gast in Australië. Dit is vooral te danken aan Bill die met name in de jaren 90 het wijnhuis enorm wist uit te breiden. Deze witte wijn uit Australië, in de bijzondere fles, is een eerbetoon aan de drooglegging (oftewel Prohibition) aan het begin van de vorige eeuw in Californië. Deze periode van de Prohibition in Californië was een roerige tijd, waarin veel personen de wetgeving probeerden te omzeilden. Een van de meest bekende smokkelaarsters was Stella Beloumant, een vrouw die nog steeds berucht is bij menig Sherrif in Nevada. Voor deze witte wijn is de chardonnay uit het Zuid-Oosten van Australië gebruikt. Het is een zachte wijn met een verrassend vriendelijke smaak. Verse ananas, zuivere mango en iets van nectarine. Best Dog (Puppy) Toy I've Found

This is a fun toy for me as well as my puppies! When it arrived I opened it right away. I was anxious to get my Pup's playing with something that wouldn't require me to play with them. I put it down and it was charged and ready to go. I had no idea what to expect. All three of my Pups were interested in it. (Which is unusual because two of them are Shih Tzu's and don't pay a lot of attention to most toys.) It's safe and really cute to watch. My youngest pup had been playing all day and was tired when I finally took a photo. I can't tell if the video uploaded correctly but if it did you can see how much fun it was. It is very durable and can actually turn itself over and go across the floor. It charges fast and will last a day and a half or two depending how much it's been used. It does go to sleep if no one is playing with it. They furnish you with an extra top and a fresh "rope." I really appreciate how much customer service is done with this item. I will watch for more of their items to purchase.

Buy 2 at a time for a fun experience

What’s better than 1 toy? Answer: 2 toys! I love using two at a time. More stimulation and fun! We use these to get all the energy out before nap time. They keep him occupied and running in two different directions. The rope part of the toy is the perfect size for him to grab onto. It came with a replacement for a wheel and rope and haven’t had to replace it yet. Toy has held up with daily play and still works perfectly.

How many dog toys have you bought that just laid on the floor unused?

New husky has more energy than an entire pre-school - even being walked more than three miles a day wasn’t sufficient to drain her excess energy.
I threw the dice on this - and it’s AWESOME. Comes with an extra rope and an extra side piece. Rechargeable with a USB-C cable. When you turn it on, the blue LEDs flash, the entire device buzzes, bounces, and races back and forth across the floor. After a couple of days of uncertainty, my new husky LOVES this. She chases it around, grabs it by the attached rope and carries it from room to room.
After a short bit of activity, the toy goes into ‘sleep’ mode, until either the dog touches it again or a timer has elapsed, and then it fires up and starts buzzing and racing around the floor again.
From a full charge, the toy will keep your dog entertained all day. Bright orange color makes it much easier to find when it’s rolled behind the toilet (as it did this afternoon). Sturdy. Highly resistant to chew damage. If this one wears out or breaks, I’ll absolutely get another one.
