Weingut Jordan ligt in Pulkau (Weinviertel, Niederösterreich) en kent een wijntraditie sinds 1858. Vandaag leiden Simone en Hannes Hiller‑Jordan het domein, met een duidelijke focus op terroir en precisie. De wijngaarden liggen op lössbodems (fijne, kalkrijke leemgrond), beïnvloed door het samenspel van koele Waldviertel‑winden en het warmere pannonische klimaat. Deze unieke combinatie zorgt voor wijnen met frisheid, rijpheid en duidelijke structuur.

De cuvée “Simone”, genoemd naar de wijnmaakster, is een stap hoger in het gamma en een verfijndere en expressievere interpretatie van Grüner Veltliner. De druiven komen van een combinatie van lössbodems en graniet en worden met extra selectie en aandacht verwerkt. In de neus vinden we rijpere aroma’s van gele appel, rijpe peer en subtiel tropisch fruit, aangevuld met kruidige en minerale accenten. In de mond is hij ronder en voller dan de Pulkau‑versie, met meer diepgang, maar behoudt hij zijn frisse en elegante structuur. Dit is een Grüner Veltliner met meer persoonlijkheid en finesse, zonder zijn doordrinkbaarheid te verliezen.

Past uitstekend bij gevogelte, vis en licht kruidige Aziatische gerechten. Ook ideaal bij dim sum of zachte curry’s.

Don't Bother Unless You Have Something The Size of a Chihuahua
