Wat ons betreft één de mooiste witte wijnen van Tasca deze d'Almerita, gemaakt van een bijzondere druiven namelijk de Catarratto, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon & Traminer Aromatico. Alle druiven worden verbouwd op het mooie eiland Sicilia, daar heeft familie Tasca hele oude wijngaarden. De dikke stammen staan al tientallen jaren in de grond en nemen veel voeding op van de rijke bodem. De wijngaarden liggen op een zeer grote hoogte van wel 900 meter, zo vind je veel diversiteit terug in deze witte wijn. Het klimaat is er uniek, veel warmte van de zon en koelte van de nacht en wind. Want het verschil tussen nacht en dag kan wel oplopen tot 20 graden en dat is uniek voor de oogst.De oogst van de Regaleali Leone Blend Sicilia
Omdat deze wijn is gemaakt van de oudste ranken van Tasca is de oogst echt fenomenaal. De oude ranken geven weinig opbrengst maar wel zeer rijpe en krachtige trossen. Dat komt allemaal door het klimaat en diep gegraven wortels die de mooie eigenschappen over nemen van de bodem structuur. In de bodem bevind zich veel graniet, kalk en kiezels die bijdragen aan deze fantastische witte wijn. De oogst wordt volledig met de hand binnen gehaald en dat gebeurd in de vroege ochtend, als de druiven nog liggen te slapen. Zo behoudt de wijnmaker van Tasca de frisse en volle stijl in deze Leone d'Almerita. Na binnenkomst bij de pers worden de druiven rustig en voorzichtig geperst en het gouden sap is veel belovend. Zoals de wijnaker zegt, goed sap van deze kwaliteit heeft geen hout lagering nodig. En dat klopt ook, gewoon heel erg vol en krachtig van zichzelf.Hoe smaakt de Leone d'Almerita van wijnhuis Tasca?
Geweldig dat kunnen wij u vertellen, zo mooi in balans en veel rijpheid! In de krachtige geur een mooie pallet van voorjaarsbloemen, een vleugje honing, boenwas. Vrij krachtig en dat beloofd wat voor de smaak! Deze is zo vol en krachtig maar ook weer heel mild en zacht. Mooie aroma's van perzik, ananas, beetje stro en een mooie kruidigheid! Heartwarming and adorable

It's not often that I cry happy tears but damnit this book made me well up at the end. I adored every single word of this story. It was just adorable and both women are so so sweet and while it wasn't angst free none of the angst came from miscommunication or anything cliche. This was just a great time from start to finish. I lost sleep to read and I have no regrets.

A delightfully wholesome romance

This book is the perfect example of why I love Erica Lee's writing so much. She has an amazing talent for depicting love and relationships in such a wholesome and compassionate light, and it makes her books a delight to read and this is no exception. It doesn't hurt that she manages to balance humor, spice, and snark in a way that has me consistently falling in love with her characters.
I seriously can't recommend this book enough. I had to force myself to put it down at 1 AM and the lost sleep was absolutely worth it.

falling together

What a fantastic love story and how this family came to be. Loved Blair and how her parents accepted Erin and Nolan. The honesty of April and Marisol. A great read and you will not be disappointed…other than by the story having to end…on paper at least…not in my minds eye.
