This Special Club cuvée from José Michel is a precise, terroir-driven expression of the 2016 vintage. Produced in Moussy, in the southern hills of Épernay, it blends 60% Chardonnay with 40% Meunier a hallmark of the house’s style.
The wine is vinified artisanally in a combination of stainless steel tanks and 600L oak barrels, both on fine lees. Malolactic fermentation is not pursued, preserving natural acidity and tension. After bottling in May 2017, the wine was matured sur lattes for over 7.5 years, with disgorgement in January 2025 and a dosage of just 3 g/L, classifying it as Extra Brut.
