Het tuimelelement gaat achter de plaat automatisch open waardoor het draagvermogen wordt ontplooid. Door de flexibele schroefbevestiging van roestvast staal kan de tuimelplug met hout- of spaanplaatschroeven of metrische haak- en draadstangen met contramoer worden gebruikt.
