De Reine Claude is een relatief onbekende maar heerlijke pruimensoort en gedijt erg goed in ons Nederlandse klimaat. De prunus 'Reine Claude d'Oullins' bloeit wit in het voorjaar en in augustus kan er geoogst worden. Deze pruim is in tegenstelling tot bijvoorbeeld de roze zoetsappige Prunus 'domestica Opal' of de paarsblauwe Prunus domestica 'Bleu de Belgique' geelgroen van kleur wanneer bij rijp is.

De 'Reine Claude d'Oullins' is zoetzuur van smaak en al kan het als handpruim gegeten worden, vaak wordt deze als dessertfruit gebruikt.

Deze wilde pruim doet het goed op kleigrond, lemige grond en zandgrond en op een zonnige standplaats want de stelregel luidt; hoe meer zon hoe zoeter de vrucht. De perfecte standplaats voor de 'Reine Claude' pruimenboom

Deze pruimenboom, Prunus domestica 'Reine Claude d'Oullins' bloeift in april met prachtige witte bloesems. De 'Reine Claude d'Oullins' is een volledig zelfbestuivende boom. De bestuiving is met een Reine Claude d’Althan of Victoria pruimenboom in de buurt nog beter.

Deze wilde pruim doet het goed op kleigrond, lemige grond en zandgrond en op een zonnige standplaats want de stelregel luidt; hoe meer zon hoe zoeter de vrucht. Bij het planten kan het raadzaam zijn fruitbomen voeding toe te voegen aan de pootgrond, plaats daarnaast ook een boompaal. Een boompaal zorgt ervoor dat de boom goed kan wortelen en de benodigde ondersteuning kan krijgen. Zorg dat de Pruimenboom niet te lang droog staat in de zomer en niet langdurig nat staat in de winter.

Pruimenboom op een laag-, half- of hoogstam

Stambomen zijn struiken of boomsoorten die geënt worden op een onderstam. In de meeste gevallen is de stam niet van dezelfde soort. De termen hoogstam, halfstam en laagstam duidt op de hoogte van de onderstammen. Hoogstambomen worden geënt op een onderstam van ongeveer 2 meter. Halfstambomen worden geënt op onderstammen van ongeveer 1.20 meter en laagstam bomen worden geënt om onderstammen van ongeveer 50 cm. Het enten van bomen is een vak apart. Tegenwoordig worden er ongeveer 15-20 onderstammen gebruikt voor het enten van stambomen.

Hoe gezond zijn 'Reine Claude' pruimen

De kleine tot middelgrote Reine Claude d'Oullins pruim is een groene pruim, sappig en zoetzuur van smaak. De vrucht zich vol antioxidanten en vitamine C.

This book transformed my life in a way that other books haven't

This book transformed my life. It took me a full year to read (I did read several other books within the same timeframe), I read the first section of it with my work team, did all of the homework or suggested activities within, attended some seminars by the Canfield Training Group, and lastly invested in becoming a trainer of the curriculum because I connected so well with the concepts presented. I have been teaching leadership principles within a university setting for almost 20 years. This book adds to that knowledge, as well as brings about several exercises to shift from unconscious to conscious brain activity that I really needed in my life for my own progression. I plan to read this book annually, as it has so much information in it that it is worthy of additional time and study. I had my first copy cut and spiral bound so that I can spend more time on individual pages, treating the book more like a manual. I often find myself referencing the book and have shared much of it's teachings in all arenas of my life. In my library of hundreds of business books, this one has been placed onto my top 5 list. I am so grateful for all it has done to increase my productivity, improve my relationships, accomplish more with less, change my paradigms about asking for what I need, spur me to take a much stronger conscious approach to money management, and the list goes on. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is open to learning, open to diving deep into oneself, and anyone who is willing to take complete responsibility for one's own life, one's own success, and one's own ability to let go of the past to rewrite a new future. This book has very practical, easy to carry out activities and projects to radically improve one's life. Lastly, I recommend reading this book with others who you can share your progress with. Coming together in our work team to read and discuss was so helpful as we shared our a-ha moments, our lists, our completed assignments like our have's, do's and be's list and goal binder. We had a vision board party where we each created ours and then presented it to each other. Many awesome things started to manifest after putting those boards together, and we could celebrate those things with each other. Reading this book together created a strong bond with that team. As the year progressed our schedules made it more challenging to read it together, so we decided to finish it individually. But we learned that we missed the group learning, so we will soon start up again together as a group with an altered format of presenting the chapters to one another instead of actually reading and discussing together. (We would come together on our lunch hour to read along in our books with the cd of the book, pausing it often to discuss) Individually, I would listen to the book while commuting for 60 minutes every day. I would then review key things I would hear at night before bed. It was bitter sweet when I finished it last night. I truly did not want the book to end, yet I was so excited to check off a goal of completing the book by Nov 1st. This book truly has made a significant positive impact on my life. It was well worth my time and money.

The Success Principles is a must have in any "success" book home library...

I read the first version of The Success Principles back in 2009 and I honestly felt like I came across one of the best and most complete resources for success (and really life) I have ever read. I was even more thrilled when I discovered there was The Success Principles for Teens because finding effective ways to teach these life tools and techniques to my daughters has always been a top priority, and challenge. My oldest daughter has not only read it, she has even referred back to some of the principles when I obviously break them :). All of the core content in this version is still there, but what was exciting to read were the new success stories included of people that bought the original book and had breakthroughs. The completely new content included is "Success in the Digital Age" and it is a fantastic resource. I would consider myself very knowledgeable when it comes to technology and Internet Marketing (having worked as a Sr. System Engineer for over a decade and years learning and implementing various Internet Marketing solutions), and I can say this addition is fantastic. The content and advice he managed to include in just five chapters is impressive, and spot on. If topics like social media, technology, and online branding are areas that are a weakness, or you want to learn more about the most effective ways to leverage these and other technical solutions used by some of the most successful leaders in this space, than you will love this addition to the book. I will end this review by saying I am life coach, and resources like these are gold. I am constantly referring back to this text before and after sessions. I am a huge fan of countless self-help experts and bestselling authors, and I have a huge list of books I love and regularly recommend, but none are such a complete resource like this book. As one of the "experts" in this space said about this book, trying to just identify the "big ideas" included in this book is virtually impossible, because everything he includes IS a "big idea." So if you are a fan of this type of content this is a must have in your library, if only for a reference.
