Maar na de komst van het spoor in 1874 stroomde het dorp vol met forenzen en arbeiders die nieuwe denominaties introduceerden. Rond 1970 telde Hilversum vijftig kerken. Daarna nam het kerkbezoek af en begon het pijnlijke proces van het samenvoegen van parochies en gemeenten en het afstoten van kerkgebouwen. Desondanks telt de stad nog zo'n vijfendertig geloofsgemeenschappen met elk hun eigen karakter. Geloven is een persoonlijke zaak. Soft, good material, I like the thickness. Does not feel cheap.You do have to put it in a dryer on really low to fluff it up. Check it after 20 minutes. Pull it out fluff it up and put it back in the dryer. Do not use hot heat. I also put it in a linen duvet.
