Vins Jean-Luc Colombo is een echt familiebedrijf, vader Jean-Luc bestiert samen met zijn vrouw Anne en dochter Laure het toonaangevende domein te midden van de AOC Cornas in de Noordelijke Côtes du Rhône. Het is dan ook niet verwonderlijk dat er voornamelijk syrah van hoge kwaliteit verbouwd wordt! Naast Cornas is de familie Colombo ook bedreven met het maken van wijnen afkomstig van Condrieu, Côtes du Côtes du Rhône tot zelfs de Languedoc. De hoofdrol is echter weggelegd voor Cornas. Er wordt veel waarde gehecht aan een juiste balans tussen wijnbouw en de directe omgeving. Zo zorgt een aanplant van lokale planten langs de wijngaarden voor een natuurlijke barrière tegen wind, worden er nestkasten geplaatst voor vogels en vleermuizen die zich tegoed doen aan schadelijke insecten en is het gebruik van chemische bestrijdingsmiddelen jaren geleden in de ban gedaan. In 2015 verscheen hun eerste 100% biologische wijn en verschenen er later nog eens zes. De wijnen van Vins Jean-Luc Colombo kenmerken zich door elegantie, complexiteit, fruit en frisheid.

De Koningin onder de witte Rhone wijnen. Condrieu wordt gezien als de mondiale top qua Viognier. Gelegen in het noordelijke Rhonedal profiteren de wijngaarden optimaal van de bekende Mistral wind. De wijn rijpt 12 maanden op eikenhout. Intens, complex, vol.

De viognier druiven voor deze bijzondere en intense wijn, zijn afkomstig uit de wijngaard in de beroemde Condrieu appellatie. Hier komen doorgaans de meest bijzondere en complexe viogniers vandaan en behoren internationaal tot de top van de witte wijnen! De stokken staan op steile, door eikenbossen omgeven terrassen, met een granieten ondergrond en vol in de zon. De Mistral zorgt voor wat verkoeling, hetgeen resulteert in deze aromatische wijn.

Good but Installation was a Bit Iffy

90% of the time I use my iPad for school. Originally, I used just a regular screen protector, but it would get dirty with smudges and imprints from my Apple Pencil, and there would be a lot of glare since I'm in a classroom most of the time, which would make it awkward to see what I was writing at times. Plus, the screen protector was too smooth so it would actually be difficult to write legibly. This product makes it a lot easier to write smoother on the iPad. I only just installed it, so I can't say much on the smear protection yet, but I can already see the reduction in glare as well. For $8, getting a pack of two of these with an install kit is a very nice deal imo. My only issue was the installation process, which could've been as much my own fault tbh, but I felt like I aligned the screen protector pretty well with the sticker, however the first time I tried installing it it was way off the center (maybe my case got in the way?). The biggest issue was using the squeegee to pop air bubbles, and this is something they don't mention in neither their instruction guide nor video, but you're supposed to used the velvet red side, not the naked white side: using the white side actually takes the grit off the protector, which is obviously something you don't want on a product that relies on it. Thankfully I have another one in reserve in case this one wears off sooner than expected.
