Poggio delle Faine Rosso Super Tuscan 75cl - 2020Diepe, robijnrode kleur die meer schakeringen van granaat rood krijgt bij veroudering. Duidelijke neus van rood fruit gedomineerd door kersen met hints van balsamico en kruiden. Zachte maar toch aanwezige tannine die de wijn zijn mooie en evenwichtige structuur geeft en de afdronk draagt en lengte schenkt. Sangiovese en Cabernet Sauvignon zijn allebei druiven die een lekker stevig stukje vlees graag kunnen appreciren. Ook de combinatie met tomaten is

Klimaat

Gematigd Mediterraan klimaat met zomers die heel warm en droog kunnen zijn. De winters zijn iets koeler en vochtiger dan gemiddeld in de streek.

Ondergrond

De prachtige heuvels rond de stad Firenze. Zanderige bodem met veel leem en een beetje klei.

Vinificatie

Na de pluk worden de druiven voorzichtig geperst en ondergaat het sap een maceratie op zijn pelletjes waarbij de fermentatie wordt opgestart in roestvrij stalen vaten. Hierna rijpt een deel van de wijn verder op inox en de rest krijgt een elegante houtrijping op grote reeds gebruikte houten vaten. Na een klein jaar wordt de wijn gebotteld.

Dry, invisible, and effective
I spend a lot of time working outside and in the woods year round and I really need a good sun block. It dries or "disappears" quickly and there's no build-up. Once it's on, you don't know it's there 2. Sweat doesn't bother it or remove it 3.
