Blackmagic Hyperdeck Extreme 4K HDR

This advanced broadcast deck is built to deliver high quality Ultra HD mastering, dependable long‑form recording and flexible integration with modern and legacy equipment. It merges the trusted reliability of the HyperDeck platform with new innovations such as efficient H.265 encoding, optional internal cache and full HDR support. The large seven inch touchscreen provides a clear and detailed view of incoming signals while offering intuitive access to transport controls, timeline navigation and deck settings. Its high brightness 2000 nit display with full DCI‑P3 coverage ensures accurate monitoring when working in both SDR and HDR environments, allowing operators to evaluate exposure, colour and format information directly on the unit. 

The system supports a wide range of video standards, handling SD, HD, Ultra HD and DCI 4K formats up to 2160p60. It can record in H.265 for space‑efficient Ultra HD workflows while maintaining excellent visual fidelity. In addition, it offers broad codec compatibility including multiple ProRes variations for mastering and editing pipelines, DNx formats for broadcast interoperability and H.264 options for HD delivery. Playback capabilities also extend to ProRes 4444 for fill and key applications, allowing graphics‑driven workflows to integrate easily into live productions. 

Connectivity is extensive. The unit includes 12G‑SDI input and dual 12G‑SDI outputs with an additional 3G‑SDI monitor output. HDMI 2.0 in and out allow integration with modern consumer and professional displays, while component and composite analog inputs make it possible to digitize legacy sources. Audio support includes four channels of balanced XLR inputs and two channels of RCA inputs, plus 64‑channel embedded SDI audio and eight‑channel embedded HDMI audio. Timecode I/O, reference input and RS‑422 deck control ensure compatibility with studio workflows, automation systems and traditional editing environments. 

Recording media options are versatile. Dual CFast 2.0 slots provide high performance recording capability, while the USB‑C 3.1 Gen 2 interface enables external disk recording in all supported formats. The optional internal cache helps prevent dropped frames if media performance drops or storage becomes temporarily unavailable. With its integrated speaker, headphone jack and robust monitoring features including waveform, vectorscope and parade displays, the system offers a complete toolkit for mastering, quality checking and playback. Combined with its 10G Ethernet interface for rapid media upload and remote control, it is engineered for demanding broadcast, live production and digital signage environments.
