Wijnomschrijving
Breed en intens, vanille, prachtig fruit, bramen, cassis, kersen en chocola, heerlijke verleiding, mooi rijp en sappig, werkelijk bijzonder dit, tikje heftig, geweldige tannines, een wijn met diepte en veel karakter, maar toch ook fluwelig zacht.
Vinificatie
De druiven worden met de hand geoogst en ondergaan een koude inweking van liefst 12 dagen, voor meer fruit en een mooie diepe kleur. Rijping, inclusief de malolactische gisting, vindt plaats op barriques van Frans eiken gedurende 14 maanden.
Achtergrond informatie
De wijngaard in Los Lingues, aan de voet van de Andes, op enige hoogte, geniet grote temperatuurverschillen tussen dag en nacht. Wel zijn de dagtemperaturen hier overdag ook veel hoger dan aan de kust, in Paredones. Maar de bergwind en de hoogte koelen de wijngaard in de middag en avond sterk af. Daardoor is het niet alleen de beste wijngaard van het estate voor cabernet sauvignon, maar ook voor carmenère. En dat proef je in deze wijn, die geweldig intens is, breed, echt Gran Terroir de los Andes.
