De TacTec Plate Carrier beschikt over een skelet tailleband en juk schoudervullingen voor een veilige en comfortabele pasvorm, geïntegreerde web-platform, een eenhandig snel-afwerpsysteem voor hulpdiensten en verstelbare elastische taille banden voor stabiliteit tijdens periodes van hoge activiteit en een speciaal reddingshandvat voor een snel wegslepen van neergeschoten personeel. Bij NIJ-4 Stand Alone platen wordt bij impact de staalkernkogel volledig opgevangen door de NIJ-4 Stand Alone plaat. De staalkernkogel blijft in de Stand Alone plaat zitten en veroorzaakt geen trauma verwonding bij een impact van een kogel. Hierdoor kan men meerder treffers opvangen en toch nog altijd even gevechtsklaar zijn.
