We volgen Cormoran Strike, een oorlogsveteraan die privédetective is geworden. Hij werkt vanuit zijn kleine kantoor in Londen en gebruikt zijn unieke inzichten en zijn achtergrond als rechercheur van de Special Investigation Branch om complexe zaken op te lossen waar de politie niet uitkomt. Hij werkt samen met zijn assistent (later zakenpartner) Robin Ellacott.

It is very glowy. After spraying this on my husband commented on why I was sweating so much 😹 I told him it’s my face mist spf.
