Het verhaal achter Ruota Libera wordt verteld door een hechte vriendengroep uit het zuid Italiaanse Puglia. Hun afkomst en gezamenlijke liefde voor de prachtige wijnen uit het gebied deden hen besluiten de krachten te bundelen in dit splinternieuwe wijnproject. Wijnmaker Benedetto is samen met zijn assistent Nicolo verantwoordelijk voor de wijngaarden en de vinivicatie. Gedreven door door de kennis en het enthousiasme van Valentina en Francesco die het project leven inbliezen en de grafische ondersteuning van Davide en Domenico is de vriendengroep en het team van Ruota libera compleet!

De naam Ruota Libera is een hommage aan het lokale stadje Locorotondo, wat niet geheel verrassend "de ronde stad" wordt genoemd. Net als de stad Locorotondo geven de wijnen rondheid en intensiteit, is de gedachte. De ronde vormen komen ook uitdrukkelijk terug in de opvallende etikettering van de verschillende flessen. 

Al het gebruikte fruit is afkomstig uit de zuidelijke wijngaarden in Puglia. Met een Primitivo, een prachtige Rosso blend en een Appassimento is de serie Ruota Libera compleet en biedt voor ieder wat wils.
