Link reist hierin tussen een wereld boven de wolken en het grote onbekende daaronder, op zoek naar zijn jeugdvriendin Zelda. Op dit epische avontuur neemt hij het met zijn zwaard en schild op tegen sterke vijanden, lost hij allerlei lastige puzzels op en suist hij door de lucht op de rug van een reuzenvogel die een Loftwing wordt genoemd.
Als je met twee Joy-Con-controllers speelt, worden die je zwaard en schild. Zwaai met de rechter-Joy-Con om Link met het zwaard te laten slaan en gebruik de linker-Joy-Con om aanvallen met het schild af te weren. Je kunt zulke fysieke bewegingen ook gebruiken om gereedschappen en voorwerpen gebruiken. Schiet bijvoorbeeld met pijl en boog of gooi bommen.
Voor het eerst kun je dit avontuur ook met de knoppenbesturing beleven. De game is dus ook in de handheldstijl of op de Nintendo Switch Lite te spelen. Als je met deze besturing speelt, gebruik je het zwaard van Link door de rechterstick in een bepaalde richting te bewegen.

Important Story!

12 year old Nimra is thrilled when her parents suggest she transfer to public school, which means she'll finally be with her best friend, Jenna. When Jenna acts strangely about Nimra's hijab on their first day, Nimra is desperate to prove she can fit in. Even though her family doesn't approve of music, Nimra joins a boy band, hoping their popularity will help repair her friendship with Jenna. She doesn't intend to remain in the band after she wins Jenna back, but the boys enter them in a fundraising benefit. Nimra's web of lies grows until she finally has to face what she's done––and figure out who she is at home and at school. A lovely story about a girl torn between her religion and the trials of middle school, this book is a recommended read.

Sweet story
Format: Hardcover
This is an enjoyable, lightweight story, perfect for middle school students. The child I bought it for is from a different culture than that depicted, and for her it was a bridge-builder in terms of helping to find commonalities and differences. It was a fun experience--effortless learning, the best kind! For others, it may be useful to see themselves reflected in the young heroine, but I can't speak to whether they will find the mirror accurate. For my reader, the conflict felt real and relatable - who hasn't experienced feeling different and excluded? And she was captured beginning to end.

excellent middle-grade novel
Format: Hardcover
This story of a muslim girl in the US and her school friends and ordinary dramas is a great addition to school libraries or public libraries and also for girl readers 9-12 or so. It's wonderful that we are getting novels about people from other faiths that are aimed at mainstream readers. It is so important for kids to read books about people from other backgrounds as well as for those from those backgrounds to have books in which they see themselves reflected. Well done!

Vampire Fantasy
Format: Kindle
Following Val through this adventure of trying to find her place in the world while cultists are literally trying to get her, made me feel like I was on the edge of my seat.
I also love the idea that vampires/werewolves(peak at Roving Darkness and the Druids Destiny) are just living everyday life like humans. This book made me wish I was living in this world because it felt so real.
Its also very sapphic

enjoyable cozy urban fantasy
Format: Kindle
Getting kidnapped by her cult-leader grandfather and held chained for other a month is not a pleasant experience. But when Vedalia's (Vel) aunt comes and rescues her, things start to take a turn for the better. Especially when said aunt is a vampire, who is married to a witch, and they're giving her a new start at life.
This story is very much a cozy urban fantasy. There is actions and threats (as her grandfather doesn't know when to give up), but not a lot of angst (not a bad thing at all in my opinion ^^). The focus of the story is very much on Vel as she adapts to life with her new found family, and makes new friends. There is romance in the story, and it's cute - they make an adorable couple. But there is a lot more going on as well.
It is an enjoyable read that is well written and paced well, and I definitely appreciate the queer representation that is in the story. The main threat is wrapped up well, and I certainly would be interested in seeing more of the characters, and Vel growing more into what she has been given. Happily devoured and I look forward to reading more by her.
