This gorgeous Gibson Custom Shop '58 ES-335, in Murphy Lab Heavy Aged Faded Tobacco Burst is a guitar that we're thrilled about. This version is one of three different finishes commemorating the inaugural ES-335, with the other two being available in a Dirty Blonde Heavy Aged, and a Tri-Burst Light Aged. Known as the world's first semi-hollow guitar model, drawn up by former Gibson President Ted McCarty, this iconic instrument has been a staple in music since its inception, loved for being used artists such as B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Larry Carlton, and Warren Haynes.

This '58 ES-335's body is comprised of a 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple laminate, and sports two deep cutaways, and two resonant f-holes. Its mahogany neck features a bigger '58 rounded neck profile, and is topped with an unbound fingerboard made of Indian rosewood. With a scale length of 24.75", this '58 ES-335 offers 22 frets, with dot inlays found between them.

Vintage inspired pickups are a necessity for a reissue like this one, and the '58 ES-335 features Gibson's own unpotted Custombuckers in both the neck and bridge positions. Complemented by CTS 500K Audio Taper Pots and Paper-in-Oil Caps, the control scheme of this '58 includes 2 Volume and 2 Tone knobs, offering a precise level of versatility in the tonal realm.

Gibson's Murphy Lab is responsible for this guitar's incredible finish, and this specific 335 features a "Heavy Aged" treatment that provides an authentic vintage aesthetic, capturing the essence of a well-loved instrument that has stood the test of time, but has certainly been played. The guitar's Faded Tobacco Burst finish, combined with the hardware, plated in Nickel and aged by the Murphy Lab to match the rest of the guitar, adds a vintage touch. The hardware includes a relic'd tailpiece, bridge, and tuning machines.

The 1958 ES-335 Reissue Murphy Lab is limited to 130 instruments for each finish, and these exceptional guitars come complete with a brown and pink Lifton five-latch case.

Not Suitable For Dobermans or Labradors
Size: Large, Size: Large
In reading all of the reviews, it seemed that most dogs were just not interested in chewing the toy. It is suitable for a dog treat inside but my dogs do not have treats in toys, since both are aggressive dog chewers. Upon opening both packages, I thought this is going to be great for both of them. I purchased two, one for each of them. My male 3 year old, 92 pound European Doberman consistently kept his away from the 1 1/2 year old 65 pound female labrador mix, and within one hour we had already had a break in one of the toys. I do not know which one did it!? Nor do I care. Especially when I had to wake up at 2:30 in the morning to the sounds of vomiting dog toy pieces from my girl. Was it the material that caused the vomiting or that the material is not strong enough for an aggressive tour as advertised? Very disappointed.

Dogs love it and so do I
Size: Small
I have small dogs (<20 lbs) and they would chew on these forever if I let them. Never had any pieces break off. While this isn't the hardest toy to clean, it isn't the easiest either. Very worth the money and so much easier to use and safer for them. There's no danger of them breaking or swallowing part of the brush which has happened in the past. I highly recommend this dental toy, especially if your dog tries to chew on the toothbrush when you brush their teeth.

Good Idea, didn't Match Expectations.
Size: Large
Heavy and a bit difficult to 'load.' Maybe too hard for our dog. He did carry it around but didn't try to get treats as well as expected and it's quite difficult to clean. Maybe best for a larger more aggressive dog than a 65 lb. lab mix.
