Having established his signature motif in fashion photography, Helmut Newton’s heart attack in 1971 significantly reduced his photographic output. Yet it was only in 1975 that the commercially successful fashion photographer had his first solo exhibition in the Nikon Gallery in Paris. For this publication, Newton personally selected twenty-four images that reflected the best of his artistic production throughout the 1970s. Each is reproduced as a photolithograph and titled in facsimile in Newton’s hand.
