The Vongon Paragraphs II is a generational upgrade on their original four-pole resonant low-pass filter effect unit. For all the studio-dwellers and sonic tinkerers of the world, this new build from Vongon is an exciting and robust unit to reach new musical frontiers.

At its core, the Paragraphs II employs the same ladder-style filter found in the Vongon Replay synthesizer. A ten-way frequency switch centers frequency filtering for an off-the-bat exceptional harmonic tone shaping experience. The low-pass filtering possible from the Paragraphs II makes quick and vivid work of harmonically complex to distorted signals, made possible by an improved signal-to-noise ratio assisting in clean filtering of clearer sound sources.

The Paragraph II's bipolar envelope generator works to dynamically open and close the filter based on playing dynamics. Onboard this Paragraphs, Vongon designed stereo left and right inputs that can process signals separately to come to complex effect conclusions. Independent rise and fall controls allow for envelope movement between five milliseconds and four seconds, resulting in a mix of percussive accents to glacial fades and swells.

A follower mode opens access for the Paragraphs II to track or inversely track the filter's frequency to playing volume for dynamic, auto-wah or ducking effects. This follower mode is matched with a trigger mode that delivers a one-shot envelope when the playing dynamics pass a certain, adjustable threshold, making a more reactive and interactive effect of the Paragraphs II. A third mode, cycle, produces a rhythmic and pulsing modulation effect.

An LFO operates 180-degrees out of phase between the left and right channels, creating a natural widening effect. 0.1Hz to 100Hz of sine or smoothed, random-style modulation produces everything from slow and subtle motion to rapid tremolo and ring modulation-like sounds.

The Paragraphs II operates with standard ¼" output jacks adjustable to be optimized for line-level or instrument inputs. Connectivity expands from there with a control voltage input that modulates the filter cutoff frequency, perfect for integrating modular gear or expression pedals. MIDI connectivity also lands on the Paragraphs II for enabling remote control of every parameter and access to nine onboard preset slots. Ready for connection with an array of gear and setups, the Paragraphs II is primed for complex arrangements and experimentation.

As a robust and in-depth filter and modulator set to impress, the Vongon Paragraphs II knocks it out of the park. Link this Vongon special into your rig and hear the filtering goodness come to life.

Great socks / a bit expensive
Size: Large, Color: Black
These may be the Goldilocks of the socks I've tried. They have nearly the same quality as the MUCH pricier Darn Tough Vertex Ultralight Cushion Cool Max socks (also reviewed). They have better quality, and a higher price, than a similar pair of PUMA socks (also reviewed). Pros: Very well made, with no loose stitching, comfortable forefoot and heel cushioning, good ventilation via top mesh, good arch compression, minimal logos and mostly solid color. Cons: Price is a bit on the high side, but better than the Darn Tough socks. I could honestly have made a good case for any of these three (ASICS, PUMA, or Darn Tough), which explains their collective high ratings. I did the top 3 reviews first. When I get a chance, I'll go back and review the average and terrible :) If money is no object, get the Darn Tough Vertex. If you're price sensitive, and willing to compromise a bit on quality, go with the PUMAs, which is what I did. Otherwise, these ASICS are near the same quality as the Darn Tough, but less expensive. Tough decisions :)

They fit perfectly
Size: X-Large, Color: Black
My favorite socks, the fit is great, they are comfortable and they are long enough so it covers my ankles, therefore, they don't rub against my inner shoe.

Great buy.
Size: Medium, Color: Black
These socks have a cool fresh feel to them. I bought new running shoes, Hoka Bondi 9, and they feel great paired up with them. Similar socks in the store were $49. I tried several others brands like Sauchony and 2 other lesser known brands but there was something indescribably different. I purchased another pack immediately.

Comfort
Size: Medium, Color: Black
I have been wearing ASICS socks since forever! As a distance runner, I have worn many others from different companies, and I always come back! Also, i am not a fan of the invisible kind, and ASCIS seems to be the only ones to make the socks that are above the shoe, are durable, comfortable, I have no desire to look elsewhere. Thanks ASICS!
