Have you ever wanted to design and make your own earrings using traditional silversmithing techniques? In this hands-on, six-hour workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of jewelry-making while creating three pairs of earrings:
- Silver textured hoops with ear wires
- Silver studs with posts
- Simple brass hoops with posts
What You’ll Learn:
Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you’ll gain hands-on experience with essential jewelry-making techniques, including:
- Mastering bench tools – Learn to handle hammers, pliers, jewellers’ saws, files, and a flex shaft with confidence.
- Soldering earring posts – Use an oxygen-propane Gentec Little Torch to securely attach earring posts.
- Forming and shaping – Explore techniques for bending and shaping metal using hammers, pliers, and dapping tools.
- Texturing and detailing – Add unique textures and depth to your designs.
- Polishing and finishing – Achieve a professional, high-quality finish on your earrings.
