For use with Heavy Section Steel
5.5mm x 85mm
These wing tip self drilling screws are specifically designed to attach wood to light section steel, with a recommended steel depth of between 5mm and 12mm.
Designed with a coarse self tapping thread, the wings ream out the timber whilst drilling to ensure a clean and secure fixing, achieving max RPM without burning out.
Once the specially designed wings hit the metal they will break off to allow the thread to self tap into the section steel.
Please note that size 120mm is partially threaded, all below this size are fully threaded.
Available in 4.2mm, 4.8mm and 5.5mm, in a range of lengths.
