The summer never ends with the SurfyBear Classic V3.0 reverb with SurfyPan Extra! This all-analog, spring-loaded vintage reverb brings the timeless sounds of early spring reverb effects into a road-ready, thoroughly modern piece. Designed around the topology of classic analog 6G15 reverb units, this pedal replaces vacuum tubes with carefully tuned JFET transistors for a totally authentic and lively response while improving on playability, portability, and reliability. The SurfyBear Classic V3.0 comes fitted – upgraded, even – with its proprietary SurfyPan Extra, developed in collaboration with Accutronics to even more closely match the tonal characteristics of early 1960s Gibbs units.
This SurfyBear spring reverb is housed within a blonde-colored tolex-covered enclosure with sturdy metal sides and a noise-defeating bottom plate. The non-buffered but non-true bypass (call it false bypass) switching system colors a signal intentionally to replicate the overall feel, vibe, and sound of original standalone reverb units. Performance flexibility, alongside authenticity, is paramount with the SurfyBear Classic with a dual mixer control that allows an external footswitch to be connected and the two mixers to be remotely swapped between.
Topping everything off, Switchcraft jacks and vintage-style toggle switches provide reliable and consistent performance. This SurfyBear Classic V3.0 operates around the world with its included 12V power supply, accepting any polarity.
