Pecan Bowl Blank P-463 3" x 6" x 7" 2.7 lbs. This is a small half-log bowl blank of Texas-grown Pecan wood. Its color is a soft tan to peachy light brown color with subtle darker-brown streaks of mineralization. The wood grain has a pleasant and gracefully flowing pattern. It has full bark on the back side, although it is a bit loose and needs to be secured prior to turning. This half-log bowl blank should be suitable for a bowl 5-6" in diameter and up to 3" deep. With the bark on the backside, you have the option of turning a conventional bowl or a "barky" natural-edge bowl. However, if you want a full bark edge on the "natural" rim, you will need to secure the bark with CA glue before and possibly during turning. This piece is GREEN to partially air-dried, meaning that it still retains a lot of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. Moisture content was 20-25% when measured in May, 2022. It has been well-sealed and is in the process of slowly drying. It was heat-treated to kill off any hungry critters that may have been burrowing inside. If you need a current moisture content, please message us and we'll check its status for you. This is a classic half-log blank, split through the center of the log. It does have a sliver of pith in it and has a few cracks developing that radiate out from the remnant pith. You may wish to reinforce these with CA glue prior to turning. So close!

This dress exceeded my expectations, but the deal breaker for me is no pockets! I can't believe I missed that.
The fabric is impressive for polyester. It seems relatively breathable, and it's a very nice mid weight that flows and drapes well. It is smooth and conceals lumps and bumps. The buttons are well made, and the placket does not gap. I ordered the navy blue and it's exactly as expected.
Size XXL is exactly right for me at 48/40/50 and 5'6". It hits about 4" below my knee. I would prefer shorter at the knee for easier to wear as a duster.
I wish it had pockets!

Classic dress at a great price

Runs smaller than my regular size.

Medium weight fabric and decent quality. Tight fit across bust and under arms and also waist. I am not a big busted woman although I am not so many inches different from bust to waist (it gapped at waist upon sitting. I had to exchange it for a bigger size. So my experience leads me to belive that this manufacturer sizes smaller than what I would expect from expensive clothing. For the price is a good choice if you remember to go at least one size up from your regular size.
