Superchunk’s debut is back, louder, sharper, and still delightfully scrappy. This remastered edition of their 1990 self-titled LP captures the raw, fuzzy charm of a young band ready to conquer the indie rock world one crunchy riff at a time.

From the bratty energy of “Slack Motherfucker” to the driving urgency of “Let It Go” and the jangly bite of “Sick to Move,” the album wears its influences proudly – you’ll hear shades of The Buzzcocks, Hüsker Dü, and Sonic Youth, with just a hint of Southern sparkle thanks to nods toward R.E.M. and Drivin’ n’ Cryin’. It’s the sound of a group still figuring it out but already having way too much fun to care.

The LP comes dressed in updated artwork and includes an 11" × 17" replica flyer from an early Chunk show, complete with photos and band notes on the reverse. As a bonus, you’ll get a download of Clambakes Vol. 9: Other Music From Unshowered Grumblers - Live in NYC 1990, recorded at CBGB just days after the album dropped. It’s sweaty, raw, and exactly how indie rock should be.

Three decades on, Superchunk still plays these songs live - proof that even their earliest work packs staying power. This is more than a reissue; it’s a time capsule of unpolished brilliance. Spin it loud, sing along, and remember what 21-year-old frustration (and joy) sounds like.

Just the perfect size!
Love the size of the carafe. Smaller than expected but that was what I was hoping for. A good 2½ to 3 cups full. Looks modern and Chic and blends in with all the other stainless steel appliances in my kitchen.

It's nice, but the glass is super thin
Everything about this is built really well, except the glass. I'll get into the glass at the end of this, so stick with me. The stand is real heavy and overbuilt if you ask me, but that makes it super stable. The rubber mat on the bottom is a nice touch. The rubber that holds the metal cone on the stand keeps it stable too. The cone works great with #4 coffee filters (I've got a mess of them). They're a bit big but they still fit. I actually use it a lot of times without the stand because I weigh my water as I add it. The cone fits nicely right in the top of the glass. The glass though. It's SUPER thin. I've had a Chemex knock-off that was slightly thicker than this break just from setting it on the counter wrong. I'm just waiting for this thing to shatter on me for no reason. This would be a great unit if that glass wasn't so thin.

Neat looking, yet over priced
This definitely looks pretty cool. And the magnet built into it makes it somewhat unique. But when you really get down to it, it's a stand for a coffee filter and carafe.

Best pour-over coffee maker
This pour-over is my favorite. I've tried metal mesh and ceramic pour-over. This set up is the best, it aerates the coffee as you pour.

Love it
I’m making great coffee and tea. The magnet is great to. The drip makes the flavors better.
