Description:
AimĂ© CĂ©saire™s work is foundational for decolonial and postcolonial thought. His Discourse on Colonialism, first published in 1955, influenced generations of scholars and activists at the forefront of liberation struggles in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean and it remains a classic of anticolonial thought
This unique volume takes the form of a series of interviews with CĂ©saire that were conducted by Françoise Vergès in 2004, shortly before his death. CĂ©saire™s responses to Vergès™ questions cover a wide range of topics, including the origins of his political activism, the legacies of slavery and colonialism, the question of reparation for slavery and the problems of marrying literature to politics. The book includes a substantial postface by Vergès in which she situates CĂ©saire™s work in its intellectual and political context
This timely book brings Césaire back into the present-day conversation on race, slavery and the legacy of colonialism. His penetrating insights on these matters should appeal to scholars and students throughout the humanities and social sciences as well as to the general public.

Beautiful room dividers! I'm glad I bought several.
Color: Light Beige, Size: 6-Panel
This room divider is perfect for my use. I bought one with 6 panels and another with 4 panels, mostly to hide areas of my living space when guests come over. The screens are attractive, a pleasing color, just the right height and width, and a very pretty design. They require no assembly and are easy to put in place. When not in use, they store in a compact fashion.
The only drawback is the odor from the manufacturing process. I left the screens on an enclosed porch with the windows open for about two weeks before I could tolerate the odor inside the house. After that, there was no problem.

Just the features I needed
Color: Light Beige, Size: 6-Panel
Product was exactly as described and just what I needed to set up a guest room that has a double tinted glass door.facing the font and a road 50 yards away. The glass tint allows people to see inside after dark and interior lights are on, so I needed a very lightweight screen to put up across it for privacy at night and did not want curtains over my showpiece doors. The screen folds neatly and stands up beside an armoire out of sight when not needed, but steps away at night to put up until morning. Lightweight but sturdy—just what I was looking for. Looks high end.
