Product Description
BEACON HOBBY S3001 is a 1/350 scale plastic assembly model kit of the USS Jack H. Lucas (DDG-125), the first Arleigh Burke-class Flight III destroyer of the U.S. Navy.
The kit features 600+ detailed parts, dual build options (full hull or waterline), and precise reproduction of the ship’s key features, including the AN/SPY-6(V)1 radar.
It is brand new, unassembled and unpainted, requiring glue and paint (sold separately). A perfect collectible for naval model enthusiasts and history buffs.
Historical Background
USS Jack H. Lucas (DDG-125) is the 75th Arleigh Burke-class destroyer and the first Flight III variant, commissioned in 2023.
It is named after Jack H. Lucas, the youngest U.S. Marine to receive the Medal of Honor in World War II, who heroically saved his comrades by diving on two grenades at the age of 17.
As the first Flight III destroyer, it is equipped with the advanced AN/SPY-6(V)1 radar, enhancing the U.S. Navy’s air and missile defense capabilities.
