✔ Bakhtiari saddle bags were originally made to put on the back of horses or camels. They are known to have three different weaving techniques (carpet, kilim and embroidery) together. It gives one rug three different textures, which is a quite rare feature. 

Hand made almost SEVEN DECADES AGO, this is a good example of Bakhtiari rugs boasting meticulously woven geometric details throughout, beautifully representing the tribal Bakhtiari style. It was originally a saddle bag, made to put on the back of horses or camels. It has been opened and converted into a rug.
