With that in mind, Vans worked with Rowan to create the Rowan 2, an evolution of his first signature skate shoe upgrading style and function to help Rowan continue pushing progression. The Rowan 2 takes vintage design and adds ImpactWaffle technology—a combination of Vans’ dual-density impact cushioning and SickStick rubber, providing exceptional impact protection without sacrificing boardfeel.
IMPACTWAFFLE: The Rowan 2 evolves ImpactWaffle™ technology by pulling it further into the forefoot of the shoe for even more impact protection, without sacrificing boardfeel.
SICKSTICK: The Rowan 2 SickStick™ rubber cupsole features a zonal tread design in the forefoot for enhanced grip and board control, with a reversed waffle tread pattern in the heel to increase the longevity of the shoe.
