The" Grand Hall of Industry and Amusements" is one a number of "Theme Halls" to be found in Hotel Utopia.  In its attempt to satisfy the needs of their many guests seeking to satisfy a myriad of personal utopian urges, The hotel has created a number of Grand Halls to cater to the eclectic needs of their clientele.
The Grand Hall is an ode to the role that Industry plays in our current world.  Industry helps foster joy from theme parks to movie theaters and gaming rooms.  Much of the time industry is hidden from the public eye, keeping the lights on and the ice cream cold.
Amusements are what many humans seek to be entertained as we spend our lives fending off boredom and those deeper questions.
The work revolves around a vintage airplane with two women standing on the wings creating an instant and bizarre consummation of the coupling of industry and amusements.  The juxtaposition of reality with the vast realm of imagination, is what keeps me fascinated and amused.
