The Road Series is a celebrated line of acoustics from Martin Guitar. Balancing a timeless Martin sound with more modern features for playability and aesthetics, the DC-13E Modern dishes out sound and style in droves. This guitar kicks off with a Martin cutaway dreadnought body brought together by a spruce top and koa fine veneer back and sides. Together, these woods produce a bright, crisp profile with a Cherry Stain back and sides color for that visual flair. 5/16" scalloped spruce braces line the top in a Martin X-Brace pattern.
Extending out, this Road Series model features a neck in a Martin Performing Artist profile with a High Performance taper. Seamlessly slipping from lower to higher registers, this neck is quickly played with an ebony fingerboard facilitating singer-songwriter fingerpicking and cowboy chords. Faux Mother of Pearl Diamonds & Squares Long fret inlays line the ebony for a stylish accent.
Wrapping everything up, this Road Series DC-13E Modern lines up with a great selection of hardware specs and appointments. Each end of the scale features a great hardware piece – a white Corian nut and ratio nickel open gear tuning machines land at one end with an ebony sloped Modern Belly bridge and white TUSQ saddle at the other. White binding wraps this model's top and back along with a single-ring faux abalone rosette for a simple and understated motif. Martin E1 electronics translate the model's tones to the stage without a hitch. This Martin Road Series entry travels with an included Martin softshell case.
