Discover the profound exploration of migration and displacement with 'The Sea is History', a compelling 2019 publication from Skira Editore S.p.A. This beautifully illustrated book features notable contemporary artists who engage with themes grounded in both historical and contemporary contexts. Drawing inspiration from Derek Walcott's iconic poem, 'The Sea is History' delves deep into postcolonial discourse, unearthing connections that bind individual narratives across geography and art forms. Highlighted by thought-provoking essays from scholars such as Salah M. Hassan and Manthia Diawara, this catalogue enriches your understanding of how art navigates the complexities of identity and history. The illustrated pages showcase powerful artistic expressions that interrogate the legacies of the Atlantic slave trade, reflecting on how past injustices resonate in today’s society. Each contributing artist offers unique perspectives, enriching this discourse with poetic contributions from celebrated figures like Linton Kwesi Johnson and Kei Miller. Perfect for students, educators, and art enthusiasts alike, 'The Sea is History' is a vital addition to any contemporary art collection, sparking dialogue on migration, identity, and the shared human experience.Shipping Notes

I was delighted with the quality and color
Size: X-Small, Color: Lilac
This is a super cute, and frankly, fairly high fashion little hoodie. The price was great for what it is. Really nice soft (terry?) inside. Double fabric hood. Really soft. It has an oversized cut which makes it easy to get on and off, but is just the right length to make the sizing look great and intentional - it doesn't look too big. I love the color. It's high quality, and I didn't notice any shrinkage. Even the hood is cut in a chic way. Not your average kids' hoodie.

Size up
Size: Small, Color: Black
Overall a good hoodie. Thin-ish to medium weight, but don’t expect heavy weight. It’s soft but of course since it’s on more on the thin side it loses its softness quick but for the price it’s good. It’s good to cricut heat transfer on.
