This combination of a mahogany body and a AA carved, figured maple top hearkens to Gibson's Golden Era for a great balance of warmth and brightness across the two woods. Acting as an excellent springboard off which the rest of the instrument can leap, this classic combo is a winner. The body, wrapped in a satin lacquer finish, translates a silky feel to the touch for a comfortable connection. Single-ply cream binding lines this guitar's top and fingerboard for a great accent on its burst finish.
The basis of the form for this classic Gibson continues with a mahogany neck shaped in a 60s-style SlimTaper profile. Players seeking that time-tested profile need look no further as this vintage-style neck feels streamlined and ready to play. The neck is capped with a rosewood fingerboard adorned with twenty-two articulate frets. When it comes to outstanding humbucking tonality, this Les Paul Standard is a total treat. This model is outfitted with a pair of Gibson 60s Burstbucker pickups that summon a timeless and formidable voice. Meeting their namesake with great kick and tonal warmth, these Burstbuckers play boldly and clearly to get creative and inspired with. Audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors come hand-wired to this pickup configuration to ensure high fidelity when rolling through this Les Paul's spectrum of sounds. Gold Top Hat knobs appear with silver reflectors and dial pointers to add that extra element of Les Paul style.
