Each piece of wood is kept as original as possible and every natural "flaw" is kept as is, protected, and sometimes accentuated. I prefer the woods natural beauty speak for itself. As such, no two pieces will ever be made the same.
All wood products need to be treated with any kitchen oil or a wood wax to protect the wood and keep it water proof. After exposure to water, thoroughly air dry the wood, cover with a kitchen oil (we use sweet almond oil), and allow to soak in. When the bowl begins looking dry a good coating of a wood wax or wood butter will help moisturize the wood and keep it water proof.
