The Craft: Hand-carved Jadeite Inlay
The stick is carved from a single piece of green sandalwood. Red jadeite and green jadeite are inlaid into the wood, set with copper and gold-plated connectors. The design is inspired by a plum branch, with the red jadeite pieces forming blossoms and leaves. The gold-plated copper adds a subtle contrast.
The Green Sandalwood
Green sandalwood is a dense, heavy wood native to South America. It has a natural fragrance that fades over time. The wood color shifts from yellow-green to deeper green with age and exposure to light.
Grain and color variation are normal. Small hand-tool marks may be visible on close inspection — these are signs of hand carving, not defects.
Fit & Care
This stick works for all hair volumes, including very thick hair. The rigid shaft holds buns securely. For fine or shoulder-length hair, consider our short hair sticks for a better fit.
