Simple yet exciting—this is the LS16.
A dazzling sight—the LS16 features a sunburst Engelmann spruce top treated with Yamaha's A.R.E. process, a non-chemical treatment that naturally ages wood to produce a richer, more complex tone. Solid rosewood forms the concert shaped back and sides of the guitar for elegant tone and beautiful aesthetics. Attached to the body is a 5-ply mahogany/rosewood neck, supplying the player with unmatched comfort across the 25.56" scale length. Affixed to the neck is an ebony fingerboard lined with 20 frets for blissful playability. The ebony bridge supplies fantastic string to body vibration transfer, leading to luxurious resonance that must be heard to be believed. Securing the guitar's pitches are TM29G die-cast gold tuners, securing all tunings utilized on the LS16.
For scenarios that require a bit more output, Yamaha installed a passive electronics system with an SRT Zero Impact piezo pickup, capturing the LS16's natural essence and translates it eloquently to speakers, recording setups, and more. Better yet, the no-controls installation makes it the perfect plug-and-play companion, letting you, the player, focus on what's really important: the performance.
