Overview

The URWERK UR-110 ST Ribbed represents one of the most tactile interpretations of the UR-110 platform. Produced in a limited series of 55 pieces, this version introduces a distinct surface treatment that reshapes the visual identity of the case.

First awarded the GPHG Best Design Watch Prize in 2011, the UR-110 established itself through its asymmetrical architecture and reimagined satellite display. The Ribbed edition builds on this foundation with a more industrial expression.

Case and Finish

The case combines steel and titanium, treated with Aluminium Titanium Nitride, and defined by its ribbed surface structure.

The linear texture alters the way light interacts with the case, creating depth and variation across its form. This finish emphasises the geometry of the UR-110 while reinforcing its technical character.

The result is a case that feels more architectural than decorative.

Satellite Time Display

Time is displayed through URWERK’s re-engineered satellite complication.

Three hour satellites travel along a vertically arced minute track positioned on the right side of the case. Each satellite carries an arrow shaped indicator, moving in sequence from 0 to 60 minutes.

A planetary gearing system ensures the satellites remain aligned throughout their rotation, maintaining precision while preserving the clarity of the display.

Dial Indications

Integrated within the dial are additional functional elements:

• small seconds
• day and night indicator
• oil change service indicator

These indications are positioned within the layered architecture of the dial, complementing the satellite display without disrupting its flow.

Twin Turbine System

Turning the watch over reveals the twin turbine winding regulation system.

These turbines regulate the speed of the automatic rotor using air resistance, reducing mechanical stress during periods of high activity. The system contributes to both longevity and stability of the movement.

This piece is part of the URWERK Certified Pre-Owned programme.

Each watch undergoes full inspection, servicing, and testing by URWERK watchmakers and is supplied with:
