The advantage of the Air Locker lies in the pneumatically operated locking system inside the differential. When activated, the Air Locker prevents the internal differential gears from rotating and therefore prevents the axle shafts from turning independently of each other. With both wheels tied directly to the rotation of the ring gear, the vehicle maintains maximum possible traction at all times. When unlocked, it operates like a conventional open differential. Fit 2015 228xi even tho not exact shape as oem
The large clip that has the feet that point out in second position(ballet term, google it so you see what the orientation looks like) fits with much more ease than you’ll think. It won’t hook into its oem place but the top flat squared off part will hook to the interior roof of the that general area snuggly. Spent 1.5 hours trying to bend the smaller ones into a similar shape to oem and then it hit me. The bigger one would probably be large enough to catch the top of the bulb housing. Learn from me. Try the big one.
