Martin's 000-28 model has been a preferred choice for players desiring a smaller body with full-bodied tone. The top of this guitar is constructed from spruce, providing durability and an impressive dynamic range. It’s paired with East Indian rosewood for the back and sides to offer a firm tonal foundation. The scalloped spruce X-Bracing, a detail no Martin description would be complete without, provides sturdy reinforcement while enhancing the guitar's resonance.

In terms of ornamentation, the 000-28 features abalone diamonds and squares in a long pattern along the ebony fingerboard. It also boasts bold herringbone top inlay, multi-stripe back inlay and rosette, and Style 28 back purfling, providing subtle elegance that reflects the Martin aesthetic.

The neck, crafted from select hardwoods, has a modified low oval profile with a high-performance taper, a comfortable design that allows for easy playability.
