As on the previous Crazy Horse LP Colorado, Nils Lofgren replaces the retired Frank Sampedro on guitar. Lead track Song Of The Seasons sees Young in laidback acoustic mode. The eponymous barn is a replica of a collapsed 1850s barn in Colorado where the LP was recorded.
