Each game of Arkham Horror is set in the city of Arkham; investigators must move around the city, encountering the locations, gateways to other worlds, monsters from other dimensions and of course, their own terror.

Each game of Arkham Horror is set in the city of Arkham; investigators must move around the city, encountering the locations, gateways to other worlds, monsters from other dimensions and of course, their own terror. Investigators must collect clues to seal the gates to the otherworlds, once six gates are sealed the ancient one threatening to devour everything is sealed away too. To aid the investigators there is a selection of common items, unique items allies and skills that can change the course of a game, but beware, there are also conditions that will hinder, investigators may become cursed, injured or even devoured. Join Ashecan Pete and his faithful dog, Duke, as they stomp around Arkham's neighbourhoods searching for anything useful against Azathoth, or maybe walk the streets with Dexter Drake performing little feats of magic on a whim to over come Cthulhu? Beware that the streets of Arkham are not the only places that you must venture as you traverse the gates to close them you could end up in Another Dimension, The Plateu of Leng or even the fabled Dreamlands. If too many gates open the ancient one will awaken and the world will end. Do you have what it takes to stop the approaching evil in Fantasy Flight's Arkham Horror? Too many monsters and Arkham will be over run, making it impossible to move around the streets without serious risk of being killed or driven insane.
