Discover the striking narrative of American Geography, a profound visual journey captured by renowned Magnum photographer Matt Black. This compelling collection chronicles his extensive five-year, 100,000-mile road trip across 46 states in the United States and Puerto Rico. Black's poignant black and white photographs delve deep into the socioeconomic challenges faced by America's underserved communities, shedding light on the conditions of powerlessness, prejudice, and pragmatic survival among the nation’s poor.Originating in California’s Central Valley, famously dubbed 'the other California', this rugged region shows that a staggering one-third of its population grapples with poverty. Black's exploration reveals that designated 'poverty areas', defined by the U.S. Census as places with poverty rates exceeding 20%, are prevalent throughout America—never more than a two-hour drive apart. These areas, interwoven into the national landscape, starkly contrast the myth of the 'land of opportunity'.
Accompanied by a vivid travelogue, Black’s work resonates with echoes of the Farm Security Administration photographers of the 1930s and 1940s, including the likes of Walker Evans and Dorothea Lange. His comprehensive portrayal combines rich anecdotes gleaned from conversations, city bus and diner culture, historic reflections, and current news commentary. The result is a revealing portrait of these 'states of un-America' and a call to recognize the unseen struggles that shape our national identity.
Dive into this visual record that features 100 meticulously curated illustrations in color, and experience a new perspective on American life through the lens of economic disparity.

easy to use spatula
This two pack of baby spatulas are easy to use and easy to clean. You don't have to worry about getting your fingers sticky or messy when applying creams to your baby. The suction cup on the end is a nice touch so that you can stand these up straight and not get another surface dirty or sticky. Definitely recommend this item to new parents!

Soap bar tumeric
This was the best soap ever. Did not turn my skin orange, (which I was little afraid of) and left it feeling nourished. Used in the shower as a body soap and can't recommend it enough.

I loved it
The texture is amazing, too expensive for its size and it doesn’t last.

So far so good after 3 washes
A noticeable difference after washing my face just 3 times so far with the soap. My face felt softer and smoother. It's not harsh, doesn't dry out my face, or leave soap residue. I will definitely continue to use it.
