Build the frame. Hang the enclosure. Play.

The Carl's Place Pipe Framing Kit gives you the complete pre-cut 2-inch EMT pipe to build the full frame of your Curved Golf Simulator Enclosure — every length cut, sized, and labeled to your exact enclosure dimensions. No measuring, no cutting, no hunting down hard-to-find 2-inch pipe at the hardware store. Paired with the steel fittings and assembly diagram included with your enclosure kit, the frame goes up cleanly and squarely the first time. Ships on a pallet by freight.

Why Add the Pipe Framing Kit

  • The complete frame, pre-cut to size — every pipe length matched to your enclosure's Height × Width × Depth, so there's nothing to measure or cut.
  • Skip the hardware-store run — 2-inch EMT is hard to source locally and must be cut to exact lengths; we supply the correct pipe, ready to assemble.
  • Square, true, and built to last — the right tubing makes for a rigid frame that holds screen tension and keeps your enclosure looking sharp.
  • Hassle-free assembly — works with the steel fittings and assembly diagram that come with your enclosure kit, so the full frame goes together without guesswork.

What's Included

  • Complete set of pre-cut 2-inch EMT pipe — all frame tubing for your enclosure, cut, sized, and labeled to your Height × Width × Depth. (Steel fittings and the assembly diagram come with your Curved Enclosure Kit, not this item.)

Required / Pairs With

  • Carl's Place Curved Golf Simulator Enclosure Kit — the enclosure this frame is built for; it supplies the steel fittings and assembly diagram.
  • Back Cover Kit & Back Cover Pipe Kit (optional) — if you're closing off the rear of the enclosure.

Sizing: Choose the size that matches your enclosure's Height × Width × Depth — the same dimensions as your enclosure order. If you're unsure, match it to your enclosure configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need the Pipe Framing Kit?

Your enclosure needs a 2-inch EMT frame to mount to. You can source and cut your own pipe locally, but most owners add this kit because it arrives pre-cut, sized, and labeled to their exact enclosure — no measuring, cutting, or sourcing required.

How is this different from the Back Cover Pipe Kit?

The Pipe Framing Kit is the frame for the entire enclosure. The Back Cover Pipe Kit is just the smaller rear-frame portion that supports an optional Back Cover. If you're framing a full build, this is the kit you want.

Can I source my own pipe instead?

You can use your own 2-inch EMT, but it's often hard to find locally and must be cut to exact lengths for a square, rigid frame. This kit ships pre-cut, sized, and labeled so it drops right into place — and it won't fit unless it's true 2-inch EMT.

Are the fittings included?

The steel fittings and assembly diagram come with your Curved Enclosure Kit. This product is the pre-cut 2-inch EMT pipe that completes that frame. (Replacement fittings and pipe lengths can be ordered individually if needed.)

Why does it ship freight?

The frame pipes are long and heavy, so the kit ships on a pallet by freight with a flat $375 freight fee at checkout. If you order it together with your enclosure, you'll pay a single combined freight fee rather than two. The carrier will schedule delivery; add lift-gate service at checkout if you can't unload from a truck.

would have been better as a blog
Format: Paperback
First off, I have read over half of this book, but ultimately decided to put it down because it had a low signal-to-noise ratio. If the second half is filled with magic, I apologize in advance. What I liked: * The author is very honest. He does not shy away from discussing his failures (and successes). * The postmortem on the game "Life of Pixel" was especially good. * Interviews from various indie studios are sprinkled throughout. What I did not like: * A number of pieces of information were already out-of-date. This makes me think that the concepts should have been discussed at a higher level. For example, specifics about game engine costs are discussed. These numbers have changed since E3 of this year. Definitely recheck any information before formulating a plan based on the book's recommendations. * The indie studio interviews are a wasted opportunity in that they each interview has the same set of questions. It's like a questionnaire was sent out via email and the responses were pasted into the book. * When discussing commercial options, such as engines or other software packages, blurbs once again appear to be cut-and-pasted (this time verbatim from the package's web site). * Some of the advice is too broad and too light. For example, when writing about how to create a press release, the author discuss how to write in the active voice. I'm frankly not looking for writing tips in my Indie Game Developer Handbook. * The book is filled with tons of web links. My paperback copy was not so useful here. I ultimately left the book with the impression that the information would have been much better in the form of a blog. The author could have really gone in depth with the parts of the book that shined while keeping the surveys of topics in a form that serves them better (i.e. web links on the web).

Helpful information and Questions to consider
Format: Paperback
As a writer of science fiction and fantasy I had already looked into the physical aspects of the worlds I was creating, but I quickly realized I needed to include society and culture in the worldbuilding. I started a search for information, questionairres, or guidelines to use and found very little that would be helpful to me as a writer. Until I came across this book. It's exactly what I needed. It touches on multiple aspects of beliefs and practices and asks questions to help you think through what you want for your worlds, even if it's mostly backgroud. A very useful tool.
