Discover the transformative graphic memoir, 'Kimiko Does Cancer,' a poignant tale that redefines the cancer narrative through the eyes of Kimiko Tobimatsu. At just twenty-five, Kimiko, a young, queer, mixed-race woman with no previous health issues, faces a life-changing diagnosis of breast cancer. With her world turned upside down, she navigates a labyrinth of medical appointments, evaluations, treatments, and emotionally charged conversations with loved ones. This graphic memoir dares to explore the realities of living with cancer from a fresh perspective, challenging conventional narratives often dominated by pink ribbons and fundraising runs.Illustrated by the talented Keet Geniza, 'Kimiko Does Cancer' touches on essential topics such as dating during menopause, balancing work and treatment, and engaging with well-meaning friends and healthcare professionals who may not fully understand her journey. As she seeks connection within the cancer community, Kimiko also offers a critical examination of mainstream cancer experiences. This book is more than just a memoir; it’s an honest exploration of resilience, identity, and the search for personal meaning amid a health crisis. Perfect for those looking to understand cancer from a unique viewpoint, this graphic memoir resonates with anyone who has ever confronted life's challenges head-on.

Great and practical!
Format: Paperback
I love this and use it daily in my practice at an Urgent Care. It is easy to use and very handy, I keep in my drawer beside me and use it often. It gives everything about the drugs and the diagnoses are easy to find and listed alphabetically. Great quality and well written. Would highly recommend!

Not what I needed
Format: Paperback
I was looking for a book that could guide me through prescribing medication from the most basic conditions to the more complicated patients. This book didn’t even cover sulfur allergies. I was truly disappointed
