Holiday Flyer were a Roseville, California-based indie pop band formed in June 1993 by siblings John and Katie Conley. In this incarnation, Holiday Flyer released their debut long-player, Try Not to Worry, in 1995. The band grew by one member for each of their next three records: Verna Brock (an alumna of Rocketship, Beanpole, and later the California Oranges) joined the group for 1997's The Rainbow Confection; Michael Yoas for 2000's You Make Us Go; and Jim Rivas (also of Rocketship) for the band's 2001 swansong, I Hope. Holiday Flyer disbanded in October 2002, with leaders John Conley and Katie Conley devoting more time to other projects: the California Oranges and the Sinking Ships, respectively.

The Holy Grail Product with Horrible Packaging

This is a great nighttime routine product. The product itself? Fantastic, no complaints. There’s no dryness, skin feels silky, and it’s moisturizing but with no oiliness or residue. It has never irritated my skin, and I’ve never had to use a moisturizer on top of it. It’s also incredibly lightweight and it absorbs quickly. My one complaint? The container. In theory, I love the concept of a little button-pump bottle, but after a week or so, the product doesn’t reach the pump. If you buy this, just be aware to NOT THROW IT OUT just because it’s not coming out when you pump the container. You’re going to have to unscrew the lid (particularly with the bigger size) and then bam - you’ve got like two more months worth of product. I mean truly, like only a THIRD of the product can be dispensed the intended way, and the rest you’ve gotta unscrew and dip your fingers in. Which totally defeats the purpose. Great product, DUMB packaging.
