Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers
- Direct replacement for any start capacitor with the same capacitance and voltage ratings.
- Replaces parts in the 708-850 uF/MFD range rated for 110 VAC, 115 VAC, or 125 VAC.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Designed for intermittent duty in single-phase AC motor starting circuits.
- Provides temporary starting torque for electric motors found in appliances and equipment such as air conditioners, heat pumps, refrigeration units, well pumps, and pool pumps.
- Fitment is determined by matching the original capacitor's uF/MFD rating, VAC rating, and physical dimensions. The voltage rating of the replacement capacitor must be equal to or greater than the original.
When to Replace
- Motor hums but fails to start.
- Motor starts slowly or requires manual assistance to start.
- Circuit breaker trips when the motor attempts to start.
- Visible damage to the existing capacitor, such as bulging, cracking, or leaking fluid.
Installation Tips
- Disconnect all electrical power to the equipment before beginning service.
- Safely discharge the existing capacitor by shorting the terminals with a resistor or an insulated screwdriver.
- Verify the capacitance (uF/MFD) and voltage (VAC) of the new capacitor match the specifications of the part being replaced.
- Note the wire placement on the old capacitor terminals before disconnecting.
- Ensure a secure mechanical and electrical connection.
