As one of their premier series, the Martin Standard Series welcomes the Martin D-17 into its ranks. Checking plenty of boxes and making its case as a candidate for your next great Martin, the D-17 is a hand-crafted acoustic to celebrate the Martin sound time after time.

The D-17 is a dreadnought-sized acoustic guitar assembled in pursuit of great playability and great tonality. These priorities come to light by starting out simply with a body featuring solid mahogany top, back, and sides. Mahogany, one of Martin's standby picks for tonewoods, delivers on Martin's classic warm and woody tones for which they are famous. This body construction is complemented by the D-17's Golden Era (GE) scalloped Sitka spruce bracing that balances projection, enriches the guitar's tone, and summons an impressive acoustic voice. Found previously on Martin's Modern Deluxe Series, this bracing pattern is a player-forward feature to inspire.

From this point, the D-17 Standard Series drops in a GE Modified Low Oval neck through traditional compound dovetail joint construction. As a shape, Martin uses this neck to prioritize speed and playability for players looking to play loudly and proudly. This neck meets up with an ebony fingerboard and a satin finish that makes for a smooth texture across the palm and a comfortable fretting experience across the fingers. GE Diamond and Square Short fingerboard inlays punctuate the ebony for an impressive visual element while an ebony bridge and a set of nickel open gear tuning machines ground strings at each side of the scale stably for extended playing sessions.

Entering the fray of Martin's Standard Series acoustics, the D-17 is a prime pick for your first Martin or your fortieth.

  • Satin-finished solid mahogany D-14 Fret body
  • Golden Era (GE) scalloped Sitka spruce forward-shifted X Bracing pattern
  • Satin-finished Golden Era (GE) Modified Low Oval neck profile
  • Ebony fingerboard with twenty frets and GE Diamond and Square inlays
  • Ebony bridge with compensated bone saddle
  • Nickel open gear tuning machines
  • Martin hardshell case included

Less than a week to replace Samsung tablet screen!
My Samsung tablet screen was completely shattered and flaking glass. I almost threw it away, then I remembered I purchased insurance. Sent it out through UPS with a prepaid label, got it back less than a week later!! I was honestly waiting for an email to say it wasn’t fixable. I ALWAYS add the Asurion insurance for electronic purchases on Amazon, this is exactly why, and the price is more than worth it!

Asurion is the best, just buy it
I bought an Asurion policy to cover my Samsung tablet in 2022, cat happened 2025. Wouldn't charge. One call on Sunday to Asurion, to UPS via prepaid label on Monday and by Thursday of the same week I had my tablet back in perfect condition. I was shocked at the speed they moved to fix my tablet. Like new again. I'm buying whatever they sell from now on. This company goes above and beyond. Highly impressive from start to finish.

Good Coverage But...
Asurion had me to package up my Ipad and send to them to research the problem with it overheating and cracking the screen near the home button. The turnaround was about 6 days from when i shipped it next day and them returning the device. When I began to setup the IPad the first thing I notice was an error message stating touch id could not be setup on the device (it worked previously) and the ipad still got hot when charging. I had to return it to them a second time to "resolve" the issue. They determined they couldn't fix the issue and returned the cost of the device. The only problem is you can't replace a device for what it cost at that time of purchase, especially now when prices have soared. They need to fix or replace the device at the cost of what iit costs at the time of replacement.
