2024 Mount Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Riesling | Grampians $25 | I first tasted the 2023 vintage of this humble wine at an event showcasing Langi’s expensive shirazes, and its bracing beauty stopped everyone in their tracks. Intrigued, I tried the current 2024 and was delighted to find it even better. Thrillingly vibrant, it has scintillating lime flesh and zest, and a lovely, thirst-quenching finish. Excellent value, too, considering it’s produced from vines planted in 1976, and is capable of maturing well in the cellar for 20 years or more.
