Software
- Fan can be controlled in software, Python libraries with examples are available.
- A daemon (a service that runs in the background) is available, it runs the fan in automatic mode, triggering it on or off when the CPU reaches a threshold temperature, with a manual override via the tactile switch.
Notes
- When mounting or detaching the fan, or assembled Fan SHIM, do not push on the fan itself, as it is liable to break.
- Be careful to mount your Fan SHIM on the correct pins on your Pi, with the Pi shut down and power disconnected. Shifting it left by one pin or down a full row of pins could cause damage to both the Fan SHIM and the Pi.
- Raspberry Pi is not included
- Fan SHIM is NOT heatsink compatible

Great fun for our dogs!

My dogs can’t get enough of this very noisy ball. We have one outside and one in their playroom. It is very noisy. It is very hard. So, I’d say a room with fine furniture is not the place for it. Ours bang it around pretty good.
Our boxer did split one, biting it. But, she’s a serious chewer! Our other dog carries it around sometimes but hasn’t been able to damage it yet. So, I’d say for most chewers it’s going to last a long time.
It’s a great toy but in most households I’d say basement or outside. Again, it’s hard and did ding a few baseboards.

Durable, Rugged, Dog Approved Fun!!

This thing is durable and worth every penny! I bought this over 5 years ago for my rescue and he STILL loves it. He plays with it near daily and it's got a LOT of love-work scrapes, scratches, and scuffs. But it still works perfectly!! Because he's on the medium side, he can't quite bite down on it. Not sure how it'd hold up to heavy chewers with larger mouths. But he can play with this solo for ages and has SO MUCH fun. We love to listen to his "conversations" as he gets into it with this ball. It's been a winner since the day we took it out of the box. It's also the longest lasting toy we still have! Everything else either wore out, was destroyed, or broke. This battery-free ball has made the cut for us.
