When to Replace
- The engine is difficult to start, stalls frequently, or dies immediately after turning over.
- The equipment experiences rough idling, bogs down under load, or lacks power during acceleration.
- Fuel is leaking directly from the carburetor body or the surrounding gasket area.
- The engine will only stay running when the choke is partially or fully engaged.
Installation Tips
- Completely drain the fuel tank and clear the fuel lines before removing the old carburetor.
- Inspect and replace the mounting gasket and fuel filter during installation to ensure a proper vacuum seal and clean fuel flow.
- Photograph or take note of the original fuel line routing and throttle linkage positions prior to disassembly.
- Minor adjustments to the high and low mixture screws may be required to fine-tune engine performance after installation.
