The Epiphone Joe Bonamassa '63 SG Custom Electric Guitar in Dark Wine Red is a recreation of a vintage Gibson SG in JB's ever growing, drool worthy collection of vintage axes. 

If you're not familiar with Joe Bonamassa, he is a modern day guitar titan responsible for keeping blues and blues rock current in the 21st century. His career has spanned over 25+ studio and live albums, with thousands of hours logged on the road, and countless empty guitar cases filled along the way.

Over the years, Bonamassa has partnered with Gibson and Epiphone to release signature model guitars - some of his own design, and others replicating original vintage Gibson guitars from the '50s and '60s. This new offering from Epiphone is a recreation of a particular 1963 SG, which features rare and unique to the SG at the time - most notably its heeled neck joint and dark cherry finish.

This Bonamassa Epiphone SG is comprised around a Mahogany body, with a trio of gold-covered Epiphone Probuckers delivering vintage-inspired tone. It features a luxurious gold-plated Maestro Vibrola tailpiece, LockTone Tune-o-Matic bridge with nylon saddles, and gold plated Kluson Waffleback Tuners. Under the hood, CTS Potentiometers and Mallory capacitors contribute to the Bonamassa '63 SG Custom's vintage authenticity. 

Resembling that of the original Gibson SG's neck, this Epiphone SG features a one-piece Mahogany neck, utilizing the SlimTaper profile for accuracy of the original's neck carve. The neck is fitted with an Ebony fingerboard, 22 frets, and Mother of Pearl block inlays.

Included with the Bonamassa '63 SG Custom is a custom hardshell case with black tolex and Goldenrod Plush interior, complete with Epiphone and Bonamassa graphics. A Certificate of Authenticity is also included, signed off by Bonamassa.
